Preferred Master Plan Option

An important part of developing the Master Plan Preferred Option has been to ensure that all proposals contribute to the vision for South East Thurrock to be:

“A place known for its distinctive, thriving towns and villages set in attractive countryside with good access to employment, leisure and heritage facilities."

To guide and deliver this vision, the Master Plan Preferred Option has two key components:

Area wide strategies,
which tackle the following issues:

• Sustainability;
• Image and Perception;
• Movement and Connections;
• Landscape and Environment; and
• Culture and Heritage.

Site Specific proposals for:

• Tilbury;
• East Tilbury; and
• Chadwell St Mary.

These components are outlined in more detail within the Preferred Option questionnaire, which can be downloaded from the right hand column of this website.
