South East Thurrock Master Plan

Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation has appointed Urban Initiatives to prepare a Master Plan to guide investment and development in South East Thurrock up to 2021.

The Master Plan is now at Preferred Option stage and has been developed following comments provided on the Master Plan Issues and Options in February this year, as well as continuing discussions with stakeholders and landowners within the area.

Comments on the South East Thurrock Masterplan "Preferred Option" had to be received by 11th August 2008. Approximately, 1,500 responses were received and are being collated. Once this process has been completed, a summary of the responses will be presented to Thurrock Development Corporation's Planning Committee. These will be made available online. A Final Draft of the South East Thurrock Masterplan will be considered by the Development Corporation's Board for sign-off, later this year.
